Despite many rumors saying that Mykonos is the island for the #LGBTs, my first take on this gorgeous small island was lovely and memorable. It's a small island so the overall feeling was very cozy and just like you are visiting your old neighbourhoods in little cute streets. People on the streets get to talk to each others very friendly and easily, just as chilling in the Mediterranean sun.

So in one of the sunny days in Mykonos, I'd decided to take a stroll along the tiny streets in the old harbor town then accidentally encountered the famous Little Venice. As I stepped out of the little alley, the picturesque view of Little Venice was spreading out on the wooden decks, outdoor cafés, restaurants and stunning beach.
Little Venice is an area that lines the waterfront with rows of 18th century fishing houses with balconies that look out to the sea. These houses originally belonged to shipping merchants which gave them direct access to the sea. Being built right on the water, you can see how it is reminiscent of the Italian city of Venice, hence it’s name ‘little Venice’.
Little Venice is one of the most romantic places in the whole of Mykonos. This neighborhood is replete with elegant and gorgeous old houses that are situated precariously on the edge of the sea. Many discerning travelers in the past have fallen in love with this charming quarter to its magnetic appeal. Quite amazing are the sunset views from Little Venice. Its whitewashed edifices against the backdrop of the azure blue Aegean Sea is simply marvelous. The air of nonchalance that prevails in Little Venice disarms the most discerning of travelers.
A visit isn’t complete without a stop here for an afternoon drink or to dine as the sun goes down.
