Being a huge fan of day spas and holistic retreats, I've been in search for an ideal day spa in Bangkok where I live. A day spa where I could spend hours pampering myself as in another world away from the busy daily life in this vibrant city. Somewhere peaceful and serene with tropical lush garden, a swimming pool and a pavilion to enjoy afternoon tea.
This time, my spa adventure in Thailand is surprisingly impressive. Wireless Road is the most prestigious location in Bangkok, if not, Thailand. Tucked away from busy Bangkok, down an alleyway on Wireless Road, BHAWÁ SPA is set in a beautiful villa and lush garden as a little green oasis haven of calm, connection and compassion. For a frequent spa goers like me, this is the best-kept secret of the world of spa and wellness retreat in Thailand.
Bangkok is very competitive in terms of restaurants, bars, spas and hotels as guests have plenty of options. I booked BHAWÁ SPA weeks in advance as it's very busy and difficult to have available spot as the most-wanted spa retreat in Bangkok. When I arrived at BHAWÁ SPA, from the very first impression, I'd understood why....
Since the first step I walked in, I could felt a relaxing scent of aroma in the air, immediately bring me to a state of peace and zen and slowed down my steps. BHAWÁ is an Indian word signifying ‘the status of being’. This name encourages us to pay attention to the present, the nature, the true meaning of life and the art of living harmoniously together. The philosophy and culture of the spa are inspired by the Thai way of living, being at present, respect others and stay humble, helping us to maintain the simplicity and life balance.
After sitting down in a comfy sofa, I received a herbal welcome drink - butterfly pea tea and lemongrass with cold towel to refresh my day. Warm smiles from receptionists are greeting me, following by informative introduction of the treatment itinerary I would have - The Gorgeousness of Golden Thai Silk.
I love the comfy sofa with a decent blend of color mix and fresh orchids.
A la carte menu of aroma oil for body massage. My favorite is Lavender, truly relaxing :)
The Gorgeousness of Golden Thai Silk treatment set. First time I experienced real Thai silk cocoons in facial and body treatment and warm bath. The effects on our skin is to help improve skin elasticity stimulation and prevent skin aging because silk cocoon is a very source of protein and nourishment.
All About Roses, All About Love treatment set. The treatment is created around roses petals to enhance the effects natural whitening, anti-wrinkle and aging skin, making you more seductive and bring out a touch of romance. Totally ideal for couple of individual treatment.
Imagine this – you’re lounging in a quiet room with soft lighting, on a cozy, overstuffed chair, wearing one of those luxuriously soft robes. You’re sipping a cup of calming hot tea. Your mind and body ease into a relaxed state. A spa attendant instructs you in a soft voice to follow her into a treatment room, where for the next couple of hours, you will be pampered with a rejuvenating facial and relaxing body scrub and massage.
Cozy and elegant interior design. You will feel like you are in a royal nest of calm and peace since the first moment you step in BHAWÁ SPA.
I was totally in love with the luxurious interior design in very sophisticated fusion of Oriental elements with a twist of Western enlightenment touch, highlights with different kinds of orchids - the flower symbol of Thailand.
And the treatment was an WOW for me, with luxurious decor, being both vibrant yet enriching in its elements of flowers, natural well-being, in the relaxing music playlist and aroma scene. After the treatment, I found myself drenching in a warm bathtub filled with rose petals and silk cocoons mixed with herbal bathing salt.
